Our Story

COA is a national cheer and dance company located in Columbus, Ohio, founded by President and CEO, Steven G. Wedge. Steven cheered three years for The Ohio State University while working towards his BA in Business. He was a practicing CPA before starting COA as we know it today. From its humble beginnings in a spare bedroom with one employee (Steven Wedge) and a newly acquired electric typewriter, COA recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and continues to be a leader in the spirit industry. COA administers championships, instructional programs, and special events in 32 states, servicing over 100,000 customers a year. COA takes pride in exceeding the customers' expectations by combining a superior product with personalized service.

 

COA recognizes the hard work and dedication it takes to be an athlete and appreciates the value of education. COA's mission is to provide high quality programs and educational opportunities that promote personal development for all persons of the cheerleading, dance and spirit community. Consistent with our mission, COA, in conjunction with the Shirley Wedge National Cheer and Dance Scholarship Fund has awarded over $360,000 in Educational Scholarships to cheerleaders and dancers.
